Scope

Taiho Oncology, Inc. (“Taiho,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who applies to join our team. This Job Candidate Privacy Notice (this “Candidate Notice”) explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information about you (“personal information”, which includes what some U.S. state privacy laws call “personal data”) when you apply for a position with Taiho in the United States through our careers site and candidate portal at https://jobs.dayforcehcm.com/en-us/taiho/candidateportal.

Our candidate portal is hosted by Dayforce, Inc. (“Dayforce”), a third-party recruitment platform that collects and processes application information on our behalf as our service provider.

This Candidate Notice applies to job applicants only. It does not apply to current or former employees or contractors, and it does not form part of any contract of employment or offer of employment.

What Information We Collect

We collect and process the following information you provide when you apply, including:

  • identifiers and contact details (e.g., name, email address, phone numbers, address, and preferred contact method)
  • your resume or CV and the information it contains, together with any cover letter or supporting documents you choose to provide
  • professional links you choose to share (e.g., LinkedIn profile)
  • your responses to application questions (e.g., regarding your eligibility to work including but not limited to (1) your eligibility to work in U.S., (2) your age, (3) whether sponsorship is required for your employment, (4) whether any of your relatives work at Taiho, and (5) whether you have previously been an employee at Taiho)
  • account information (e.g., username and login credentials) if you choose to create a candidate account; you can also apply without an account

We may also collect:

  • information from references you provide, and the contact details of your referees
  • information from recruitment agencies we have authorized to submit candidates
  • the results of pre-employment screening (e.g., background or license verification checks), where permitted by law and typically after a conditional offer
  • equal-opportunity information (e.g., gender, race or ethnicity, veteran status, and disability status), where requested; providing this information is voluntary, and it is used only for compliance and reporting purposes
  • information about any reasonable accommodation you request during the recruitment process

If you do not provide information we need to assess your application, we may be unable to progress it.

How We Use Your Information

We use candidate information to:

  • process and assess your application and qualifications
  • communicate with you about your application and arrange interviews
  • verify your eligibility to work and conduct pre-employment checks, where permitted by law
  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including equal-opportunity and record-keeping requirements
  • administer, secure, and improve our recruitment process

If your application is successful, the information collected during recruitment will form part of your employment record. If you agree, we may also retain your details to contact you about future opportunities.

Who We Share Your Information With

We share your personal information only when there is a clear reason to do so:

  • Taiho group companies: where relevant to the role or to our recruitment operations;
  • Service Providers: Dayforce hosts our careers site and candidate portal and processes applications on our behalf. We may also use providers to support screening and assessments. These providers act only on our instructions;
  • Legal and regulatory authorities: where required by law, in response to legal process, or to protect our legal rights;
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of all or part of our business.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights over your personal information, including the rights to know, access, correct, and delete it. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain candidate information for as long as necessary to manage the recruitment process and to comply with legal obligations. If you are hired, your application information becomes part of your employment record. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.

Automated Decision-Making

We do not make hiring decisions based solely on automated processing.

Data Security

We use appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect candidate information against loss, unauthorized access and disclosure, misuse, or alteration.
